Independent
‘On Line’ guide to Gwithian, centering on the Towans and the beach,
from Hayle River to Godrevy This
site offers an independent view on the area, based on the personal experience of
people who have been involved in living in and visiting the area for more than
3 generations. It is aimed at the many repeat visitors who come back to the area
throughout their lives and many new visitors who have discovered easier access
via the new airport link and improved road systems. In
an attempt to create an independent information guide for existing and new
visitors, gwithian.org.uk will offer a guide to quality information and services
in the area. We
hope to increase the environmental awareness of visitors to help them to help us
to keep the area as unique and special as it is. We hope to publish a short
history of the Towans as well as offering important environmental details and up
to date guide to helping to preserve the area through sensible tourism. We hope
to promote many of the events that take place locally and make people aware of
the diverse range of opportunities to experience alternative tourism as well as
the more traditional. We
will be happy to promote anything happening in the area, accommodation,
services, shops, cafes and restaurants. We will not be charging for advertising
but will probably ask for a nominal contribution to upkeep and hosting the
website over the years, from commercial operations and of course we would be
happy to review services and goods to check on their quality. To contribute information contact: hostmaster@gwithian.org.ukYou send us the information and we'll do the rest |
